GOOGLE DISPLAYS COMPETITOR DISCOVERY ON BRAND SEARCHES.

Google Pushes Competitor Lists on Knowledge Panels and Brand Searches.

Google continues to offer users with more opportunities to find other businesses when you are on a business’s knowledge panel or on the Google Homepage on mobile. The objective is to facilitate the comparison of the listings.

Google seems to take into account that the brand query can be questioned, in other words that a searcher who was determined to find information about a particular company, could ultimately be undecided or uninformed.  Now Google will bring up information on competitors to complete the search.

The “See similar places” option is at the top of the page when you’re looking at a business on Google Maps.

Then, the second place is made up of three complete lines of lists of competitors that appear at the bottom of the results pages of the Google home page or following a brand search of a company.

It is difficult to capture attention in highly competitive vertical markets and in certain geographic areas. It is now even more difficult to keep the attention when it becomes easier for users to find the competition with a single click. With this new option, you need to integrate local listing management into your SEO strategy in order to optimize the number of reviews on your page, display perfect images and offer accurate information.

There are tools like LOCALTRAC that allow you to effectively manage your Local Marketing, with a minimum of resources.
