Is your business affected by COVID-19

IS YOUR BUSINESS AFFECTED BY COVID-19? HOW TO MANAGE YOUR GOOGLE MY BUSINESS PAGE.

If your business is affected by COVID-19, you must now more than ever keep your business profile up to date with the most accurate information for your customers.

Change your business hours if you had to modify your schedule or even close your location.

Explain in your business description how your business operations are affected by COVID-19, extra precautions you are taking or share any extra services offered to your community.

You can use posts to share more detailed and timely updates about what is going on with your business, add information on your products and services, direct clients to your online shop, offer free shipping, volume discount to optimize delivery, etc.

But keep in mind that Google is also affected by the COVID-19. They also took steps to protect their team members and as such, you may notice limitations or delays in your edit requests.

Google’s edit review process will prioritize health-related businesses. Don’t worry if you don’t see your edits online yet, they are still in the queue and will be treated in a timely matter.

You may notice a sudden drop in your incoming reviews from customers. The review option has been temporarily suspended by Google. Users can still write reviews but they won’t be made available to the public. It is not known yet if those privately posted reviews will later on be made available to the public.

You have a question to ask? Be patient, the Q&A section is also on hold temporarily for any new questions.

Those limitations are a temporary measure so be ready for the day they are lifted.

There are solutions that can be easily integrated to help you inform your clients during this period of crisis, don’t hesitate to contact our local SEO specialists to get more information about the solutions that best suit your needs.
